FOA

In case you don't know what the big FOA means, it stands for Festival Of Arts.

Yes, you heard right, Nanyang IS having our very own festival of arts in school for the very 1st time!!!

Basically, this is to promote the appreciation for arts among the students.

So, we have loads of things awaiting us during that week!!!

To start it off, last friday, during assembly, we had a taste of the gala concert, which would mark the end of the FOA.

Also, the selling of tickets for the gala concert had an overwhelming response! If i am not wrong, it sold out in like 1 day! So, the school decided to open up the full dress rehearsal too! The tickets for the original performance was $10 and the full dress rehearsal is $5. WOW!

Too bad i didn't get to buy any for the performance. But, obviously, i would not want to watch the full dress rehearsal instead. So, in the end i decided to just drop the whole idea. Anyway, the only reason why i would be there was to watch the Modern Dance perform their SYF piece. But, i also already watched it during the open house so it didn't really matter anymore...

On Monday, NYCD and NYMD (Nanyang Modern Dance) will be teaching the school our mass dance in the morning. School starts at 8.20 on Mondays and 7.20 on the others but we will have to go to school early as it will commence from 7.20 onwards!

i love the mass dance! i learnt it during the June holidays from my batchmates and seniors. Guess what the song is? Jaiho!!! The ending song of Slumdog Millionaire? Yup that one. The original version, in Tamil, if i am not wrong. It rocks!
