Passing on the newspaper?

Today, i was on my way home on the mrt, when i noticed a guy, reading the newspaper.
Then, when he finished, he very kindly asked the lady sitting next to him if she wanted the newspaper.
She rejected with a shake of her head, perhaps because people don't usually do that in Singapore and she found him suspicious.
Later, when he left, he slipped the newspaper on the his sit, for someone else who may want to read it.
i know he motive was good.
Then, it started me thinking.
Imagine if people passed on their newspapers to somebody else after reading.
Then, more paper can be saved and the society will be a better and friendlier place to live in.
In the end, i took the paper he left on the sit and read it.
Next time, after reading the newspaper, i would pass it on.
I want to do my part in making the world a better place.
